Solo Horn + Piano Resonance

Having experimented with playing the trombone into a piano while the damper pedal was down inspired me to compose this work.  The horn is more suitable for this, as the players bell points back, allowing for them to stand in front of the piano and face the audience while the direct sound is pointing directly into the piano.  Numerous pauses litter the piece to allow the listener to hear all of the ringing strings.

This work is most effective if slight amplification is added by placing a microphone under the piano, thus amplifying the resonance, yet is somewhat muted to the direct sound coming from the bell.
